Before you apply
Set up Harden AIF on a macOS or Linux machine that meets AIF’s system requirements, then use your supported coding agent normally on your current projects, research, or something you want to work on
For these roles, you’ll need to be based in the US and authorized to work here

How do I set up Harden?
Check the system requirements first, then copy this one install command into your terminal
curl -fsSL https://aif.harden.run/install.sh | shAfter installation, open a new terminal and run aif configure to connect your coding agent
How do I check that AIF is working?
Run aif status to check its status, then aif demo to create example decisions
Run aif show to open the local viewer and review them before starting your own session
How much should I use Harden before applying?
Use Harden during your normal project work, long enough to check that your setup runs smoothly and understand the calls your agent makes
We recommend around 1,000 recorded tool calls before you export, but this isn’t a required minimum
Review the session so you can explain what happened, what Harden caught, and what you would improve
Where do I export my session?
Open your agent session in the Harden AIF dashboard and choose Export JSON or Export Session to download the JSON file
Upload that file with your application
What if installation or export doesn’t work?
If your terminal can’t find aif after installation, open a new terminal and try again
If installation still fails, the export control is missing, or no file downloads, email hirefast@harden.run with your operating system, coding agent, and the error or a screenshot
